Save Your Scout Searches and Stop Repeating Yourself
If you use Fernly regularly, you have probably noticed a pattern. You open Scout, type the same location, add the same keywords, set the same filters, and hit search. Every time. Whether it is “plumber Manchester” or “beauty salon Leeds,” the searches you run tend to repeat.
That repetition is now gone. You can save any Scout search and re-run it with one click.
How it works
Next time you set up a search in Scout, you will see a Save Search button next to the submit button. Click it, give your search a name (or accept the auto-suggested one), and it is saved.
Everything gets stored: location, keywords, max leads, minimum rating, website mode, review thresholds, and all the advanced filters. The exact configuration you had when you hit save.
Your saved searches live at Scout → Saved Searches. From there you can:
- Run any search instantly with a single click. No re-entering parameters.
- Edit the configuration if your criteria change. Adjusted your minimum rating? Updated your target location? Change it once and every future run uses the new settings.
- See run history for each saved search. How many leads it found last time, when it was last run, and total leads discovered across all runs.
Why this matters
Good prospecting is consistent prospecting. The agencies that grow steadily are the ones running searches every week, not once a quarter when the pipeline dries up. But consistency requires low friction. If running a search means remembering your filters and re-entering them manually, you will skip it on busy weeks.
Saved searches remove that friction. Your best-performing search configurations are always one click away.
A practical example
Say you are a web designer who focuses on trades in the North West. You might save three searches:
- “Plumbers in Manchester” — no website, 3+ stars, exclude chains
- “Electricians in Liverpool” — no website, 5+ reviews
- “Builders in Bolton” — bad/outdated website, any rating
Every Monday morning, you open Saved Searches and run all three. Fresh leads in your pipeline before your first coffee is finished. No setup, no searching through old notes, no trying to remember whether you excluded chains last time.
Multi-keyword searches save too
If you run Scout searches with multiple keywords (for example, “plumber” and “heating engineer” in the same location), saved searches store the full set. When you re-run, every keyword fires its own discovery job, exactly as if you had typed them all in fresh.
